The Basque Industry 4.0 strategy will be at Europe's main industrial fair, the Hannover Messe, in April
- The Basque Government’s Ministry of Economic Development and Infrastructures has called on companies, clusters, technology centres and universities to showcase the Basque experience in Industry 4.0.
- Alongside the stand, talks and practical presentations on the application of the strategy in the company, the Basque Government will hold a technical seminar to attract investment by Germany companies, where the spotlight will be on the German companies established in the Basque Country and their experience.
This year, the Basque Industry 4.0 strategy of the Ministry of Economic Development and Infrastructures will be at Europe’s main industrial fair, the Hannover Messe, which will be held in that German city from 24 to 28 April. In Madrid today, the SPRI Group General Manager, Alexander Arriola, outlined the details of the presence of the Basque Strategy at the event during a presentation that Hannover Madrid held in the Spanish capital. The Deputy Chairman of Hannover Messe, Mr. Marc Siemering, and Christian Guarin, Sales and Marketing Director of the German fair, were there alongside Arriola..
The annual Hannover fair has been held in Germany for 60 years and it is the main market for cutting-edge technology, materials and ideas. The exhibition brings together eight leading fairs in a single venue and therefore enables interaction and integration between different industries and areas of application. Hannover Messe features automation of industrial processes, production and building automation, a wide range of energy technologies, service and industrial software, which makes it the sector's main European showcase.
Basque companies have been attending the Hannover for years, either on their own or as part of their respective clusters and through the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce. In fact, 25 Basque companies are expected to be at this year’s fair.
As a new approach this year, the Basque Country is going to focus on the huge progress that Basque companies, technology centres and universities are making in relation to Industry 4.0 under the aegis of the Basque Government and the SPRI Group thanks to the Basque Industry 4.0 strategy which has been acclaimed by European authorities.
Basque Industry 4.0 will thus be in Germany with a stand in Pavilion 8 at the Hannover fair. Throughout the week, the spotlight will be on the talks that the Basque technology centres, universities and clusters will give, the exhibition of materials and, particularly, the virtual room that will up and running, which will all focus on materials already being applied in Basque industry and companies, including Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Gamification, Simulation, Predictive Analysis/Predictive Maintenance, Monitoring, CPS, Measuring and Inspection, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Processes and Materials, Labour & Man, Energy and the Circular Economy.
Furthermore, an Invest in the Basque Country technical seminar will be held in Pavilion 3 on 25 April. The aim is for German companies to discover the opportunities that the Basque Country offers to possible investors from that country. Along with the Basque Government, the ambassadors of that seminar will be German companies and entrepreneurs that have already invested in and are established in the Basque Country and who will provide a factual account of the advantages that the Basque Country offers businesses.
